Build A Positive Mindset

Build A Positive Mindset

The “power of positive thinking” is a popular concept, and sometimes it can feel a little cliché. Being an optimist can be hard for some people and sometimes you just don’t know where to start with being positive. Here are a few pointers which you may find useful.

  1. Identify : First you really need to identify why are in a negative mindset. What thoughts do you have when you identify something as bad instead of neutral or good? Do you have certain beliefs in yourself?
  2.  Gratitude Journal : You should write down at least 5 things you are grateful for everyday. I personally write whole list of things that I am grateful for when I feel like I’m in the wrong mood.
  3. Meditate : This will help you with overthinking. Meditation lowers your stress and can help you to be more positive. Meditating 20 minutes/day had not only an effect on your mood but also your body.
  4. Get Rid of Toxic : There are always things that you think about too much. Cut negative and toxic people out of your life. You don’t need them. This will make the biggest difference in your life.
  5. Surround Yourself : After you cut out toxic people and your negative past your should find more positive things to surround yourself with. I frequently unfollow people who don’t inspire me.
  6. Affirmation : To keep the positivity high you should continue to form a positive mindset through positive and motivation self talk. I personally love affirmation and use them a lot with my meditation.

Oath Of Manifestation

Oath Of Manifestation

Manifestation has become a buzzword lately. Though it’s totally awesome that the Law of Attraction is now trendy, it also can be a bit misleading for folks who are unwilling to do the heavy lifting. If you truly want to use your energetic power to manifest greatness, you must clear all that blocks you from believing in your greatness.

Use this Oath to make your dreams your reality.

I accept & receive

  • unexpected good
  • unexpected money
  • unexpected love
  • unexpected kindness
  • unexpected prosperity
  • coming in unexpected ways
  • from unexpected places.

in my life and the life of others.

I am constantly guided, and bodily empowered to receive the lavish abundance of the universe!

I accept the principle that abundance and prosperity have already been given to me.

My acceptance makes it real and open the space for manifestation to rush in!

I open wide the doors of my consciousness to receive and to give!

Habits of Best Conversationalists

Habits of Best Conversationalists

Good conversationalists have great influence. In this post, I share few strategies I have learned for having better conversations.

  1. Be Genuinely Interested in the person. Strive to know more about him/her through the conversation.
  2. Focus on the positives. Opt for positives and meaningful topics over negative ones.
  3. Converse, not debate (or argue). Where there are differences, agree to disagree.
  4. Respect, don’t impose, criticize, or judge. Respect other space and right to their views.
  5. Put the person in his/her best light. Make the person look good (without being unauthentic).
  6. Embrace differences while building on commonalities.
  7. Be true to yourself. Don’t mime; be ready to share your own thoughts.
  8. 50-50 sharing. Don’t dominate the discussion. At the same time, don’t hold back from sharing either.
  9. Ask purposeful questions. What drives you in life? What are your current goals? What inspired you to make this change? Meaningful questions elicit meaningful answers.
  10. Give and Take. Don’t be too critical over what other say/do. Always give others the benefit of the doubt.

Here are my takeaways from El Halrod, The Miracle Morning.  Please note that the best time to practice these are before 8AM. Hate me already? Just wait and read on

1.Clear Your Mind : Clear your mind and start your day in peace, meditation, prayer, reflection, deep breathing, gratitude.

2. Affirmations : Say affirmations which are positive statements, which you repeat to yourself in a way to support your success. The repetition of affirmations leads to belief.

3. Visualize : Close your eyes, or look at a vision board of inspiring images, and use your imagination to create mental pictures of what you want in your life, who your need to be to create what you want, and what you need to do to get there.

4. Exercise : When you exercise in the morning it significantly boosts you energy, enhanced your health, and improves self confidence and emotional wellbeing.

5. Read : Mirror the people and the stories, which you admire. Read something which inspires you and which will enhance an area of your life.

6. Journal : Journaling enables you to document your insights, ideas, breakthroughs, realizations, successes and lessons learned.

Anxiety is a BITCH!!

Anxiety is a BITCH!!

The Internet abounds in information and misinformation about panic attacks, phobias, and other anxiety disorders — including promises of quick cures that require up-front payment. When chronic anxiety disrupts your life, you may be willing to try anything. But before we find out a cure, we need to understand the how anxiety manipulates you. Here are few ways :

1. Self Doubt : Anxiety makes you question ourselves. Once self-doubt creeps in, anxiety makes it grow and take over how we view ourselves.

2. Fear : A big part of anxiety is fear. Anxiety takes what is dear to you and makes you afraid if losing it.

3. Worries, what-ifs, and worst-case scenarios : These are closely related to fears. it puts thoughts of the worst-case scenarios in our minds, effectively trapping us.

4. Need for control : We don’t want our fears to manifest. We hate being plagued by constant self-doubt. And we’re weary of our worries. To get rid of them, we focus on them, trying very hard to control them.

Does any pointers above familiar? How do you become aware of your anxieties, is it hyper ventilation? or palpitations? Do share in the comment section.

Stop Being Hard On Yourself

Stop Being Hard On Yourself

It’s just all too easy to hold ourselves to high standards, and then get frustrated if we fail to meet them. I know I have done this before, and, at the risk of sounding defeatist, I know I will do it at some point again.

Perhaps the key to silencing the enemy within is accepting that it is there–that we all possess both darkness and light within us–and then learning to create a higher ratio of self-affirming to self-diminishing thoughts. Maybe the goal shouldn’t be to always be positive, but to recognize when we start being self-critical so that we can shift our thoughts more quickly and effectively with each internal struggle

Here are few ways on how to stop being hard on yourself

1. Separate yourself from the problem : The problem is an event in your life. It isn’t who you are. Problems don’t make you bad.

2. Keep it to the issue at hand : When you notice yourself leaving the current issue and overgeneralizing your mistakes to “everything” stop, take a breath, and remind yourself of the issue at hand.

3. Change to more accurate thoughts : Shift your thinking from what you did wrong to what you did and do right. What are your strengths? What are your skills?

4. Act : To get unstuck, use your mistake in a positive way, to motivate you, help you shape your goals, and take action to accomplish those goals.

So what do you think? Will you use these steps and try to take a chill pill next time your self criticize too much?  Which one did you like the most? Do leave a comment.
